Our Story
At Cecil College, Nick and Erin’s friendship blossomed over shared laughs and academic pursuits. Their bond strengthened beyond the classroom. A couple of years after graduating from Cecil College in 2019 and parting ways to different universities, a memorable outing to Port Deposit in 2021 occured "just to catch up as friends."
There, they left pennies on a train track that became significant when the only imprint on Nick's penny you could see was "In God We Trust." This was significant to him as the Litany of Trust is his favorite prayer he recited daily.
Their explorations extended to the local towns, where their trust and companionship reached new heights. A couple of standout adventures were their trips to Florida and Boston. This led to a deeper exploration of their bond amidst the warm, sunny beaches and some refreshing sips from Sam Adams brewery!
Sundays turned into a cherished tradition, blending worship and coffee, reflecting their shared faith and simple pleasures. As their relationship matured, they envisioned a future together, anchored in love and excitement, with Christ at the center.
The journey to engagement was marked by a humorous prerequisite from Erin: Nick had to fix his chipped tooth, a mishap from 2016, before proposing. In 2023, with his tooth restored, Nick proposed in the serene setting of St. Patrick Church, surrounded by loved ones. Erin’s “yes” was a testament to their enduring love and the trust that had carried them through.
Their love story, filled with divine nods, joyous adventures, and unwavering commitment, continues to grow, promising a future as infinite and enduring as one could only hope it to be. Their relationship stands as a beacon of divine love and a fortress against life’s challenges, ready to embark on a new chapter together.
